I spoke at the HIMSS Conference during UAE eHealth Week 2016, held at the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi on 2 November 2016. The topic was Cloud Hosting in Healthcare — the possibilities, the concerns around cross-domain and cross-geography data flows, privacy, security, the all-eggs-in-one-basket problem, and how to mitigate them.

This was at a time when cloud adoption in healthcare was still meeting serious resistance, especially in regions with strict data residency requirements. The argument was not “move everything to the cloud” — it was “here is how to think about what moves, what stays, and what the actual risks are versus the imagined ones.”
